Capital repairs of the steering mechanism

Check of a state

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Install assembly of the steering mechanism on the stand (926200000). By means of the dial measuring instrument of plunger type measure the size of an axial side play of a shaft of the leading gear wheel of the steering mechanism, also check the size of a radial side play of a shaft, - compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications.
2. Remove external tips of steering drafts.
3. Remove protective covers of rack transfer.
4. With the help a small beard straighten lock washers, internal tips of drafts. Remove internal tips.
5. By means of a spring dynamometer determine the size of resistance of sliding of a steering rack in both directions (see the Section Check of Effort of Rotation of the Steering Mechanism).
6. Turn out the adjusting screw of a lath.
7. By means of the dial measuring instrument determine the size of a radial side play of a shaft of a lath, - the plunger of the measuring instrument should be rested against a shaft at distance 5 mm from a face cut of a case. Compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications.
8. Check also effort of resistance of the steering mechanism to a provorachivaniye (see the Section Check of Effort of Rotation of the Steering Mechanism).

Dismantling

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Install assembly of the steering mechanism on the stand (926200000). Weaken two bolts of fastening of valvate assembly to a case of rack transfer.
2. Carefully take valvate assembly assembled with shaft of the leading gear wheel.
3. In case of need to a vypressuyta the leading shaft assembled with the valve from valvate assembly, - you oboprit the case of the steering mechanism on a cylindrical mandrel with an internal diameter of 44 ÷ of 46 mm.
4. Turning a stopper of rack transfer on the right on a case of the steering mechanism clockwise, achieve emergence in a groove of a lock ring. Rotating a stopper counterclockwise, grasp a ring and extend it outside. Take a lath of the steering mechanism, - in order to avoid development of leak of hydraulic liquid, try not to damage internal walls of a case.


Assembly

Assembly is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. All epiploons, plugs, sealing and lock rings are subject to replacement. Check also a condition of the bearing of the leading gear wheel, - in case of need make its replacement.
