Check of serviceability of functioning of components and failure diagnostics of a tempostat

Primary checks

Cable of the drive of a butterfly valve

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check correctness of laying of a driving cable of a tempostat and reliability of its fixing on the cam lever of the drive of a butterfly valve, - movement of the lever should not exert any impact on a gas cable.
2. Check correctness of adjustment of a driving cable (see the Section of Adjustment of components of a tempostat).

Vacuum hose

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check a state and reliability of fixing on unions of the vacuum hose brought to valvate assembly.
Main switch of a tempostat
2. Include ignition, transfer the switch to position of ON (Vkl) and make sure of serviceability of operation of an indicator lamp of the switch. At transfer of the switch to position of OFF (Vykl) the indicator lamp has to go out.
3. Again include темпостат - the indicator lamp has to light up. Switch off, then again include ignition, - at inclusion of ignition the indicator lamp has to remain in the repaid situation (темпостат it is switched off).

Trial runs

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Having come out to the low-loaded direct highway, accelerate the car to the speed of 40 km/h (25 miles/h) and transfer the main switch of a tempostat to position of ON (Vkl). By means of the combined operating switch of a tempostat choose the SET/COAST mode. Make sure of serviceability of support by system of the chosen cruiser high-speed mode.
2. Make sure that the car begins to move with acceleration at push-up of the combined operating switch to situation RESUME/ACCEL and comes back to the cruiser speed of the movement at a switch otpuskaniye.
3. When keeping the switch in situation SET/COAST the car has to begin to make braking by the engine with return to the chosen cruiser speed at a switch otpuskaniye.

At reduction in the rate of the movement of the car lower than 30 km/h (19 miles/h) темпостат it has to be disconnected automatically.

Safety locks

Check a condition of safety locks 6, 16 and 18 in the saloon assembly block.

Tempostat does not support the cruiser high-speed mode

Execute all listed primary checks. If elimination debugged does not lead to elimination of a problem, pass to electric checks of signals of input-output, or make reading of diagnostic codes (see below).

Actually maintained value of cruiser speed differs from chosen

Check serviceability of functioning of pump and valvate assembly and the actuation mechanism (see below). If it is not possible to reveal any violations, replace ECU of a tempostat.

Check of serviceability of functioning of components of a tempostat

The models of cars considered in the present manual are equipped with system of additional safety (SRS).

Before starting performance of any works near the block of a safety cushion, a steering column or the dashboard, disconnect SRS in order to avoid getting injured at its casual operation (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS) - the device and the principle of functioning).

It is easy to distinguish an electrical wiring of a chain of SRS on yellow color of isolation.

Servo-driver (actuation mechanism)

Disconnect a vacuum hose from the actuation mechanism. By means of the manual vacuum pump create depression about 305 mm of mercury in depth on the servo-driver. If when giving of the stipulated depression there is no full opening of a butterfly valve, replace the actuation mechanism. If the gate opens against the stop, dump depression, - the gate has to pass quickly and smoothly into completely closed position. If closing of the gate does not happen, replace the servo-driver.

Sensor switch of stoplights

 PERFORMANCE ORDER
