General information
The speedometer, tachometer, the measuring instrument of fuel consumption and the measuring instrument of temperature of the engine are a part of a combination of devices.

| 1. Make sure of absence in memory of the block of self-diagnostics of the module of engine management of a code of malfunction of VSS 2 (see Chapters of the Control system of the engine and a gear shifting Box). If the corresponding code is present, perform necessary recovery work. In the absence of a code you pass to the following stage of check. 2. Switch off ignition and remove a combination of devices (see the Section Removal and installation of a combination of devices). 3. Include ignition and check tension between the weight and the plug No. 7 of the contact socket of a plait of an electrical wiring of a combination of devices. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 V, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise check a condition of a plait of an electrical wiring and its contact connections. Make necessary recovery repair. 4. Switch off ignition and measure resistance between the weight and the plug No. 8 of the contact socket of a plait of an electrical wiring of a combination of devices. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohms, check serviceability of a condition of VSS 2 (see below), otherwise replace an electrical wiring. |

Sensor of the speed (VSS 2)

1. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the case of transmission of the VSS 2 sensor located in the top part. 2. Measure resistance between the plug No. 1 of the contact socket of the sensor and the plug No. 10 of the contact socket of a plait of an electrical wiring of a combination of devices. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohms, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise check a condition of an electrical wiring on the site of a chain between the sensor and a combination of devices. Make necessary recovery repair. 3. Measure resistance between the plug No. 2 of the contact socket of the sensor and the plug No. 9 of the contact socket of a plait of an electrical wiring of a combination of devices. If the result of measurement makes less than 10 Ohms, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise check a condition of an electrical wiring on the site of a chain between the sensor and a combination of devices. Make necessary recovery repair. 4. Measure resistance between plugs No. No. 1 and 2 of the contact VSS socket. If the result of measurement does not exceed the limit of the range of 350 ÷ 450 Ohms, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise replace the sensor. 5. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. Start the engine and simulate the movement of the car with a speed over 20 km/h (12 miles/h). transfer the voltmeter to the mode of measurement of alternating current and measure tension between No. No. 1 and 2 of the VSS 2 sensor. If the result of measurement makes more than 5 V, repair or replace a speedometer, otherwise replace the speed sensor. |

Fuel consumption measuring instrument

| 1. If the arrow of the measuring instrument remains motionless, check serviceability of giving of food for it. 2. If food moves regularly, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise estimate serviceability of a condition of the corresponding safety lock and connecting electrical wiring. Make necessary recovery repair. 3. Check serviceability of a condition of the block of the sensor of measurement of fuel consumption (see below). In case of need make replacement (see the Head of the Power supply system and release). 4. Check a condition of an electrical wiring of chains of giving of food and grounding in a measuring instrument chain. Make necessary recovery repair. |

Sensor of measurement of fuel consumption

| 1. The sensor of measurement of fuel consumption is a part of assembly of the fuel pump and is located in a gasoline tank (see the Head of the Power supply system and release). 2. Take assembly of the sensor / the fuel pump from the fuel tank (see the Head of the Power supply system and release) and measure resistance between the corresponding plugs of the contact socket of the sensor in various provisions of float-operated assembly. Compare results of measurements to standard requirements. In case of need make replacement. |
