The electric drive of rear-view mirrors - the general information, check of serviceability of functioning of components

General information

Control of the electric drive of rear-view mirrors is exercised from the combined switch installed on a driver's door of the car. The selector of the choice of the mirror which is subject to adjustment and the switch of management of the provision of mirrors in the vertical and horizontal planes are a part of the switch (the provision of a mirror in each of the planes is regulated by means of an individual driving electric motor).

The scheme of an arrangement of plugs in the contact socket of an electrical wiring of the switch of management of functioning of the electric drive of rear-view mirrors

1  —  the Plug of a red wire (food of driving electric motors)
2  —  the Plug of a black wire (grounding)
3  —  the Plug of a blue wire (food of heating elements)
4  —  the Plug of a gray wire (food from a safety lock to the switch)
6  —  the Plug of a red-blue wire (adjustment of vertical position of the right mirror)
7  —  to Plugs of a red-black wire (adjustment of vertical position of the left mirror)
8  —  the Plug of a green-red wire (adjustment of horizontal position of the right mirror)
9  —  to Plugs of a blue-red wire (adjustment of horizontal position of the left zerkl)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Transfer the ignition switch to the provision of ACC or IGN.
2. Check a condition of a safety lock of protection of a chain of the electric drive of mirrors. If a safety lock as it should be, switch off ignition.
3. Remove the switch of management of functioning of the electric drive of mirrors (see the Section Removal and installation of components of the electric drive of rear-view mirrors). Disconnect an electrical wiring from the switch.
4. Transfer the ignition switch to the provision of ACC or RUN and measure tension on the plug No. 4 of the contact socket of a plait of an electrical wiring of the switch. If on the plug battery tension takes place, you pass to the following stage of check, otherwise check a condition of an electrical wiring, make necessary recovery repair.
5. Switch off ignition and measure resistance between the weight and the plug No. 2 (grounding) of the contact socket of a plait of an electrical wiring of the switch. If the result of measurement makes more than 10 Ohms, check a black wire of a plait for break existence, make necessary recovery repair, otherwise check serviceability of a condition of the switch (see below).

Switch of management of functioning of the electric drive

Information on check of serviceability of functioning of the switch by manufacturers is not provided.

Electric motors of the drive of mirrors

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the triangular decorative panel of door finishing.
2. Disconnect an electrical wiring plait from assembly of a mirror.
3. Giving battery tension by means of wires crossing points on the corresponding plugs of the contact socket, check serviceability of functioning of the electric drive.

Check of serviceability of functioning of electric motors of the drive of rear-view mirrors (the triangular panel of door finishing is removed)
