Cleaners and washers of glasses - the general information, adjustment and check of a condition of components

General information

The switch of management of functioning of cleaners/washers of forward and back glasses is a part of assembly of the combined understeering switch, - its operating lever is removed from a column to the right.

The tank of supply of the washing liquid with the pump which is built in in it is installed in the left forward corner of a motive compartment.

The electric motor of the drive of screenwashes is fixed on the right on a back partition of a motive compartment.

The electric motor of the drive of a back screen wiper is located in the central part of a door of a back of the car.

The relay of a back screen wiper is in the luggage compartment, near the right back loudspeaker.

Adjustment

All measurements are performed from the central line of glass.

Nozzles of forward washers should be adjusted so that the streams of liquid given through them got to the respective areas of a windshield.

Adjustment of a nozzle of supply of liquid of washing of back glass. Adjustment of a nozzle of a back washer has to be made according to instructions

All measurements are performed from the central line of glass.

Levers of forward screen wipers

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Turn the ignition key in position of RUN. Make sure that screen wipers are disconnected and stopped in the parking situation.
2. Switch off ignition and adjust provisions of levers of screen wipers so that the ends of brushes appeared directly over the upper edges of the ceramic seals in the lower part of a windshield.

PERFORMANCE ORDER


1. Include ignition. Make sure that the screen wiper is disconnected and stopped in parking (extreme by the right) situation.
2. Switch off ignition and adjust position of the lever of a screen wiper.

Check

The models of cars considered in the present manual are equipped with system of additional safety (SRS).

Before starting performance of any works near the block of a safety cushion, a steering column or the dashboard, disconnect SRS in order to avoid getting injured at its casual operation (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS) - the device and the principle of functioning).

It is easy to distinguish an electrical wiring of a chain of SRS on yellow color of isolation.

Electric motor of the drive of the pump of supply of the washing liquid

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the washing pump liquid which is built in in the tank.
2. Connect the battery to plugs No. No. 1 (weight) and 2 (+) a driving electric motor. If the motor does not work when giving on it of food, replace assembly.

Electric motor of the drive of forward screen wipers

PERFORMANCE ORDER


1. Disconnect an electrical wiring from a driving electric motor.
2. Connect the battery to plugs No. No. 6 (weight) and 2 (+) a driving electric motor. If the motor begins to rotate with a small speed, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise (does not rotate, or rotates with a high speed), replace the motor.
3. Connect the battery to plugs No. No. 6 (weight) and 3 (+) a driving electric motor. If the motor begins to rotate with a high speed, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise (does not rotate, or rotates with a small speed) replace the motor. 4. Connect the battery to plugs No. No. 6 (weight) and 2 (+) a driving electric motor. After the motor begins to rotate with a small speed, disconnect a positive wire of the battery from the plug No. 2 and connect it to the plug No. 4. A wire crossing point close among themselves plugs No. No. 2 and 5, - the motor has to begin to rotate, then to stop automatically. The faulty motor is subject to replacement.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the lower section of finishing of the dashboard.
2. Remove the lower section of a casing of a steering column.
3. Release a clamp of fastening of a plait of an electrical wiring.
4. Disconnect an electrical wiring of the combined understeering switch from a body plait.
5. Check correctness of distribution of conductivity between the corresponding plugs of the switch in all working provisions of the last.
6. In case of detection of malfunctions replace assembly of the combined understeering switch (see the Head Podvesk and steering).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect an electrical wiring from a driving electric motor.
2. Connect the battery to plugs No. No. 3 (weight) and 2 (+) a driving electric motor. At correct operation of an electric motor you pass to the following stage of check, otherwise replace the motor.
3. Disconnect batteries, - the motor has to stop in the middle of the course.
4. Connect the battery to plugs No. No. 1 (weight) and 3 (+) the motor, a wire crossing point close among themselves plugs No. No. 2 and 4, - the motor has to begin to rotate, then to stop automatically. The faulty motor is subject to replacement.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The relay is located behind an arch of the right back wheel.
2. Remove the relay and check conductivity between its contact plugs No. No. 1 and 2. If conductivity takes place (with a nonzero resistance), pass to the following stage of check, otherwise replace the relay.
3. Give battery tension on No. No. 2 plugs (-) and 1 (+) to the relay and check conductivity between plugs No. No. 3 and 5. If conductivity takes place, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise replace the relay.
4. check conductivity between plugs No. No. 3 and 4 of the relay. If conductivity takes place, therefore, of the relay as it should be, to a check stage, otherwise it is necessary to make replacement.
