Removal and installation of the SRS components

Module of management (ECU)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Make SRS shutdown (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS) - the device and the principle of functioning).
2. The module of management is located under a cover in a forward part of the central console.
3. Remove the left lower section of finishing of the dashboard.
4. Disconnect an electrical wiring of the module of a driver's safety cushion, - contact AB3 and AB8 sockets in the basis of a steering column.

It is easy to determine an electrical wiring of SRS by bright yellow color of isolation.

5. Remove a console box.
6. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the module of management of SRS.
7. Working strictly in a certain order, release bolts of fastening of the module of management of SRS (bolts are equipped with heads like TORX).
8. Accurately remove ECU SRS.
9. Installation is made upside-down. Track that NEW bolts of fastening of the module were tightened with the required effort.
10. Make sure of reliability of fixing of contact sockets, then activate SRS (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS) - the device and the principle of functioning).

Spring cable reel

The contact drum is a part of assembly of the combined understeering switches (see the Section Removal and installation of assembly of the combined understeering switches of the Head Podvesk and steering).

Sensors of forward safety cushions

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect SRS (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS) - the device and the principle of functioning).
2. Remove the corresponding forward wheel and a loker of protection of his arch.
3. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor of a forward safety cushion.
4. Give two fixing nuts and remove the sensor.
5. Installation is made upside-down. Track that all fixture was tightened with the required effort.
6. In conclusion activate SRS and make sure of serviceability of operation of its control lamp (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS) - the device and the principle of functioning).


Module of a forward passenger safety cushion

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect SRS (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS) - the device and the principle of functioning).
2. Remove assembly of a ware box.
3. Disconnect an electrical wiring of the module of a passenger pillow (yellow isolation).
4. Turn out 7 fixing bolts and accurately remove the safety cushion module.
5. Installation is made upside-down. Track that NEW bolts of fastening of the module were tightened with the required effort.
6. Make sure of reliability of fixing of contact sockets, then activate SRS (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS) - the device and the principle of functioning).

Side safety cushions

Modules of side pillows are built in in backs of front seats and are in case of need replaced assembled with the last.

Sensors of side safety cushions

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect SRS (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS) - the device and the principle of functioning).
2. Remove the panel of finishing of the corresponding forward rack.
3. Turn out two fixing bolts and remove the sensor.
4. Installation is made upside-down. Track that fixture was tightened with the required effort.
5. Activate SRS and make sure of serviceability of operation of its control lamp (see the Section System of Additional Safety (SRS) - the device and the principle of functioning).
