Keys and locks of doors

Keys

Standard set of keys

Four keys are included in the standard package: two main and two additional.

The main keys approach all locks. Put one of them (with the attached identification label) in the reliable place as a spare key.

Additional keys usually a key approach all locks, except a cover of luggage office / door of a back and a ware box.

Identification number of keys is beaten out on special the labels attached to one of the main keys. Rewrite number and you store a key and a label in different places that in case of loss to have an opportunity to order a key in service center of the Subaru company.

For start of the engine equipped with an immobilizator microchips are built in heads of the main keys special electronic (see below).

Electronic immobilizator - the general information and precautionary measures

General information

The electronic immobilizator provides additional anticreeping protection of the car.

Components of system of an immobilization of the engine are among: a special key with the built-in electronic chip, the reception antenna, an electronic control unit, ECM, the switch of ignition of a special design, and also the control lamp installed on dashboards. Every time at turn of a key in position of ON the electronic chip which is built in in a key head, sends an identification code to the reception antenna of the switch of ignition. In order that the engine was started, the identification code given by the chip has to correspond to the code which is written down in the immobilizator control unit. At coincidence of codes, the immobilizator sends the signal allowing start of the engine to ECM. Without implementation of the listed requirements start of the engine is not possible. The electronic immobilizator considerably reduces risk of stealing of the car.

The special control lamp which is built in the dashboard begins to blink after extraction of a key from the ignition lock, warning the possible car thief that the car is equipped with electronic system of an immobilization of the engine. The refusal of operation of a lamp testifies to malfunction in system of an immobilization, - address in service center of the Subaru company.

Precautionary measures

You do not bring metal objects close to the ON ignition key turned in situation.

In order to avoid damage of the electronic chip which is built in in a head try when carrying a key in a pocket not to allow contact it with firm sharp objects (like a penknife).

Do not modernize an immobilizator, - changes can cause a system exit out of operation.

When losing one of keys at once order new in service center of the Subaru company.

Production of a replaceable or spare key demands input in the control unit of a new identification code, - the car should be driven away on car repair shop and to provide to the master together with a set of all available keys.

The design of system of an immobilization usually allows registration to 8 various identification codes; thus, the owner can have no more than 8 spare keys.

If at turn of the ignition key in situation START the engine is not started, it is necessary to check serviceability of a condition of components of system of an immobilization, - drive away the car on company car repair shop of the Subaru company.

Door locks

Do not begin the movement at all, without having made sure of density of closing of all doors of the car! Do not leave children unguarded in the car. Try not to forget keys in the locked car.


Control of door locks outside

Unlocking and locking of a door by means of a key

At locking/unlocking the key of a driver's door at the same time blocked/will unblocked also all other doors of the car. For opening of the unblocked door pull for its external handle.


Locking of a forward door outside without the aid of a key

Also the possibility of locking of forward doors outside without the aid of a key is provided. Drown a blocking rychazhok of the internal handle of a door a rychazhok, then, holding the external handle lifted, slam a door.

If the key is left in the ignition lock, the possibility of locking of a door of the car is outside blocked.

For locking of back doors it is enough to drown blocking rychazhka of internal handles before their zakhlopyvaniye.

Control of door locks from interior of the car

Door blocking/unblocking from interior of the car.

For blocking of a door from interior of the car it is enough to drown the special rychazhok which is built in the internal handle so that the red tag put from its top party passed out of sight.

At locking/unlocking from salon of a driver's door all other doors of the car, including a back door are at the same time blocked/will be unblocked.

For opening of the unblocked door pull on yourself its internal handle.

Back door

On some models the additional possibility of operation of locks of all doors of the car at unlocking/locking is provided by a back door key.

Additional blocking of back doors (Child Lock)

Additional blocking is used in transit on a back seat of the car of children of younger age and allows to carry out the ban of unlocking of back doors of the car from interior of the car.

Inclusion of a safety lock of additional blocking of doors (Child Lock).

In seal of the lock of doors the special safety lock is built in, when translating a rychazhka of which in the relevant provision the back door of the car can be open only outside of the car.


Back door

Unlocking/locking of a door of a back by means of a key.

Unlocking of a door of a back can be made by means of a key. Insert a key into the lock of a door of a back and turn it in the direction of an hour hand. To block a back door, insert a key into the lock and turn it counterclockwise.

As the uniform lock is included in a basic equipment of all models, the control of the lock of a door of a back can be made also by blocking/unlocking of a driver's door of the car.

After the lock of a door of a back is unblocked, pull on yourself the external handle and lift a door.

Closing of a door is made by its zakhlopyvaniye.

Remote control of locks

Remote control functioning of the drive of door locks.

On appropriately equipped models unlocking/locking of all doors of the car (including a back door) can be made from the remote control (DU) by a nazhimaniye on its corresponding button (LOCK/OPEN), - at a basic equipment the DU panel is usually built in a head of the main key.

At a nazhimaniye on buttons the alarm lamp which is built in in the panel has to work.

Unlocking of doors usually is followed short-term (about 15 seconds) by operation of saloon lamps. On the expiration of the stipulated term lamps slowly die away. The Nazhimany LOCK buttons of the DU panel, as well as inclusion of ignition, leads to immediate shutdown of lighting. When opening any of car doors (including a back door) there is a shutdown of the timer of functioning of lamps.

The system of remote control of locks is deactivated at the ignition key turned in situation by ACC or ON, and also at leaky closing of any of doors.

If any of doors of the car is not open within 30 seconds after a nazhimaniye on the DU panel OPEN button, there will be a repeated automatic blocking of all locks.

The remote control is calculated on use from distance no more than 4 meters, however the radius of operation of the panel can change if the car is parked close with the working television transmitter or radio station.

The refusal of operation of activators of locks of the DU panel can be connected with production of energy resources of the internal battery of the last. A sign of "replanting" of the battery is decrease in brightness of a luminescence of the alarm lamp which is built in in the panel.

Replacement of the battery should be made at company car repair shop of the Subaru company.

Precautionary measures

The remote control represents the thin electronic device and demands extra care in the address: Do not subject the panel to blows; Try to avoid impact on the panel of direct sunshine; Do not allow hit on the moisture panel. Cowl

Opening of a cowl

For an otpuskaniye of a latch of the lock of a cowl pull on yourself the special lever located at the left under the car dashboard.

Lift a cowl, take out a basic bar from the holder and insert its end into specially provided groove from the inside of a cowl

Closing of a cowl

Raise a cowl a little and release a basic bar of a cowl from a groove. Fill a bar in the holder on the car front panel.

Slowly lower a cowl cover on height about 20 cm from a closed position and release so that it fell under a body weight. If the cowl was not closed from the first attempt, release it from a little bigger height.

In order to avoid deformation of a cover, do not press a cowl hands!

Before a start of motion make sure of reliability of fixing of a cowl in a closed position, - leaky closed cowl can suddenly open during the movement that will lead up to zero sector of the review of the driver to reduction!

Window regulators

Electrodriving window regulators are included in a basic equipment of all models.

Activation of the electric drive of window regulators becomes possible only at the included ignition when the key is turned in the lock in position of ON.

On some models regulators remain active within 30 more seconds after switching off of ignition.


Design of the main switch of the electric drive of window regulators

Lowering/lifting of glass of each of doors of the car can be made by means of the corresponding key of the main switch which is built in in an armrest of a driver's door.

Strong pressing a key of the switch will lead to lowering of glass in extreme lower situation. Partial lowering of glass is made by easy pressing of a key (until its otpuskaniye). To lift glass it is necessary to delay a key of the corresponding switch up.

Individual switch of management of a window regulator of a passenger door.

Each of doors of the car is equipped with also individual switch of management of functioning of the electric drive of the regulator. Switches are mounted on armrests of doors.

The driver has a possibility of blocking of activation of regulators of window regulators of passenger doors from individual switches. The blocking button is a part of the main switch. Shutdown of blocking is made by repeated pressing the button.


Regulators of window regulators are equipped with the special safety device providing automatic lowering of glass at emergence of a hindrance at its rise. This function is provided for an exception of a possibility of getting injured as a result of a latching by glass of parts of a body of drivers/passengers.

Precautionary measures

Remember that frequent use of window regulators at the killed engine leads to a discharge of the rechargeable battery.

The safety device is switched-off at the end of the glass course therefore, closing glasses, you watch that none of passengers held fingers atop which flew down.

Without fail include blocking of activation of regulators of window regulators of passenger doors from individual switches if in salon there are children.

Leaving the car, do not forget a key in the ignition lock.

Top hatch

The electric drive of the top hatch is activated only at the included ignition when the key is turned in position of ON.

On some models the electric drive remains active within 30 more seconds after switching off of ignition if during this time the driver's door is open, the drive remains active 30 more seconds.

After closing of a driver's door the system is disconnected.

The switch of management of functioning of the electric drive of the top hatch settles down on the ceiling console of the car.


At push-up of a key of the switch up the panel of the hatch will move back (together with a sun-protection blind). If to hold a key wrung out, the movable panel of the hatch will be displaced approximately on 50 cm then will stop. To open the hatch completely, release the switch, then wring out a key once again.

Closing of the hatch is made by push-up of a key of the switch forward. If to hold a key wrung out, the movable panel of the hatch will stop without reaching about 15 cm completely closed position. To close the hatch completely, release the switch, then wring out a key once again.

The sun-protection blind at the closed hatch can be shifted in any required position manually.


Precautionary measures

Do not put out the head, hands and other parts of a body in a hatch aperture during the movement of the car.

Leaving the car unguarded, do not forget to close the hatch and to take a key from the ignition lock.

Do not leave in the car of children unguarded.

Before closing of the hatch be convinced that none of passengers lean out in an aperture.

After a rain or a wash of the car before opening the hatch, wipe dry its cover.

Do not try to turn on the hatch, at frost penetration in a cover (after snowfall or at a hard frost).

Do not put heavy objects on a cover and edges of an aperture of the hatch.

You do not make attempts of independent restoration of tightness of the hatch by processing of edges of its aperture any sealing means.

Do not hold the switch pressed after the cover of the hatch is completely closed.

Anticreeping system

The anticreeping system is intended for protection against unauthorized penetration into the car, informing the owner on similar attempts by means of a sound signal.

Do not forget to activate anticreeping system before leaving of the car without supervision.

Activation

Park the car and kill the engine.

Take a key from the ignition lock.

Make sure that all doors, and also a cowl are closed.

Lock forward doors and a door a key or by means of the remote control.

After performance of the operations described above the control lamp of anticreeping system on an instrument guard will burn within about 20 seconds then will go out, showing that the system is included.

If at an active control lamp one of car doors is open, the system is automatically disconnected.

The system can be activated even if not all doors, including a door of a back are locked, and also at opened a cowl.

Activation of system is not represented possible at leaky closing at least to one of car doors, including a back door.

Alarm mode

Operation of an alarm signal at the switched-on anticreeping alarm system happens in the following cases: If in attempt of opening of any of doors, and also covers of the luggage compartment of the car without key or the DU panel; In attempt of opening of a cowl (outside of or from salon by means of the regular lever). When performing any of the listed above conditions there is an inclusion of a siren of the anticreeping alarm system. The alarm signal lasts 30 seconds then it is automatically disconnected.

Shutdown of an alarm signal can be made in the way turning in a key in the lock of any of doors (the key can be turned in any direction), and also by means of the DU panel.

Shutdown

Shutdown of anticreeping system can be made by unlocking of any of car doors by means of a key or from the DU panel, and also when turning a key in the ignition lock in the provision of ACC or ON.

Repeated activation of system can be made only in the regular way (see above the corresponding subsection).


Check of serviceability of functioning of anticreeping system

Lower glass of a driver's door.

Activate system.

Be convinced of serviceability of operation of a control lamp.

Check serviceability of operation of a sound signal by opening from salon of a cowl.

Disconnect system, having opened any of car doors a key or from the DU panel.

Lock of ignition/blocking of a steering column

Provisions of the lock of ignition


The lock of ignition is located on the right on a steering column. The key can occupy one of four provisions in the lock:

    a) LOCK (0)  —  blocking;
    b) ACC (1)  —  auxiliary consumers of the electric power (parking situation);
    c) ON (2)  —  ignition is included;
    d) START (3)  —  start of the engine.

The provision of "LOCK" (0) - blocking

The key can be entered into the lock or is taken from it only in this situation. At turn of the ignition key from the provision of "LOCK" (0) in the provision of "ACC" (1) there is an unblocking of a steering column. To turn a key from the provision of "ACC" (1) in the provision of "LOCK" (0), it is necessary to press slightly previously it, having a little drowned in the lock. Besides, on the models equipped with automatic transmission, an additional condition of permission of start is obligatory transfer of the lever of the selector to situation "P" /" N".

Blocking the helmsman of a column is carried out automatically in attempt to turn a steering wheel after extraction of a key from the ignition lock.

Blocking the helmsman of a column sometimes brings impossibility to turn a key in the ignition lock. In such situation it is necessary to turn slightly a steering wheel in this or that party (for the purpose of removal of loading), at the same time turning a key in the lock.

Do not take a key from the lock from the ignition lock during the movement at all! It will inevitably lead to blocking of a steering column and loss of control over management. Take out a key from the lock only after a full stop of the car.


The provision of "ACC" (1) - parking

In this position of the ignition key the possibility of functioning of auxiliary consumers of the electric power (the audio system, the lighter, the heater fan, screen wipers, etc.) is provided.

The provision of "ON" (2) - ignition is included

The ignition key is in this situation constantly during the movement of the car, and also during the operation of the engine on single turns. Electric food of all systems and the additional equipment installed on the car is at the same time provided. At turn of a key from the provision of "ACC" (1) the provision of "ON" (2) quickly joins some of the control lamps located on an instrument guard of the car, confirming serviceability of functioning of the corresponding control systems.

On appropriately equipped models at turn of a key in the provision of "ON" (2) there is an automatic inclusion of head headlights (running fires of daylight, - DRL).

Situation "START" (3) - start

At turn of a key in this situation there is an inclusion of a starter. After implementation of start of the engine the key should be released, and it will automatically return to the provision of "ON" (2).

On the models equipped with system of an immobilization, start of the engine will be blocked if the anticreeping system does not identify a key code (see above).

Alarm buzzer of the ignition key

At the corresponding complete set the special alarm buzzer warns the driver about need of extraction of a key from the ignition lock. The buzzer works when opening a driver's door of the car when the key is left in the lock of ignition and will turn in the provision of "LOCK" or "ASS".
