1. Driving belts are located in a forward part of the power unit and play an important role in functioning of the engine and many other systems of the car. Eventually belts wear out and have to look round regularly according to the schedule of routine maintenance of the car in order to avoid serious engine failures which correction of consequences can cost to the owner of the car a pretty penny. 2. The quantity of the driving belts used on concrete model of the car depends on a vehicle complete set auxiliary units. Belts are used for the drive of the generator, steering and water pumps, and also the air conditioner compressor. Depending on character of an arrangement of pulleys more than one unit can be put by one belt in action. 3. Kill the engine, open a cowl and find driving belts. Adjustment

| 1. As a rule, correction of effort of a tension of a belt (easing/strengthening) is carried out in the way shift in the relevant party of the hinged auxiliary unit given by a belt. |
| 2. Usually about one component which fixture is carried out by means of axial/lock and adjusting bolts is the share of each of the driving belts used on the engine. The axial/lock bolt is released, then adjusting rotates in the relevant party. |

3. For easing of effort of a tension of a belt the component should be displaced towards the engine and vice versa. Having finished adjustment, track reliability of tightening of bolts. 4. On some models for the shift of hinged units it is necessary to use the lever, - observe extreme care, try not to damage units. |

Replacement

1. For replacement weaken effort of a tension of a belt (see above) and throw off it from the pulleys. It will be reasonable to make replacement of all belts at the same time in view of approximately identical speed of their wear.
