Adjustment of pedals of a foot brake and coupling

Adjustment of pedals of a foot brake and coupling (each 25 000 km of a run or time in 12 months)

Free wheeling of a pedal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. A free wheeling of a pedal is called the size of its movement from the top point to a point in which there is a feeling of resistance to squeezing, i.e. prior to activation of the hydraulic drive of the corresponding system (coupling or brakes). If the result of measurement exceeds the limit of admissible range, it is necessary to make the corresponding adjustment (see further).
2. For adjustment of size of a free wheeling of a pedal of coupling weaken a lock-nut of its pusher and rotation of a rod of the last to achieve the required result. Do not forget to tighten a lock-nut.
3. Before measurement of size of a free wheeling of a pedal of a foot brake it is necessary to squeeze out it from half-dozen of times at the killed engine. Weaken a lock-nut and achieve the required result rotation of a rod of a pusher. Tighten a lock-nut.

Working course of a pedal of a foot brake

Press a pedal of a foot brake with effort about 30 kgfs (294 N) and measure distance from a pedal block surface to a floor. For models with left-side steering the minimum admissible value makes 65 mm, with right-hand - 85 mm. If the result of measurement goes beyond the established border ask for the help specialists of Subaru car repair shop.
