Check of level of liquid of the power steering

Check of level of liquid of the power steering (each 4800 km of a run or once a month)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Unlike the steering mechanism of usual type, in the rack transfer equipped with the hydraulic booster working liquid which begins to need replacement eventually is used.
2. On the majority of models the tank of the GUR hydraulic liquid is fixed directly on the case of the steering pump in a forward part of the power unit and equipped with a removable cover.
3. For check of level of hydraulic liquid it is necessary to establish forward wheels of the car in rectilinear situation and to kill the engine.
4. In order to avoid hit of dirt in hydraulic system wipe a cover and the surface of the tank with pure rags.
5. Having turned to the right or to the left, uncover with the tank equipped with the measuring probe. To the touch estimate temperature moistening liquid probe edge.
6. Carefully wipe an edge of the probe pure неворсящейся with rags, screw a cover into place, then again remove it and visually determine liquid level by the probe. Liquid of system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel, also as well as ATF has high coefficient of thermal expansion therefore two measuring scales are applied on an edge of the probe. If liquid cold to the touch, readings are taken on the scale marked with the inscription COLD, if hot, then on a scale of NOTES. Try not to allow a GUR liquid level exit out of limits of the lower bound of admissible range.
7. If necessary liquid is added directly in the tank through a mouth of the last by means of a funnel. Use only hydraulic liquid of the recommended grade (see Specifications).
8. If need for adjustment of level of liquid arises regularly and often, check the steering pump, a case of rack transfer, and also all connecting lines of a hydraulic path of the GUR system and their nipple sockets for existence of signs of leaks.
