Dismantling

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Take off a generator drive belt (see the Head Routine maintenance).
2. Having blocked a pulley of a bent shaft from a provorachivaniye by means of special adaptation, release a bolt of its fastening. Remove a pulley.
3. Uncover left, right and central the GRM drive.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check a gear gas-distributing belt for existence of adjusting tags and a direction sign of rotation. In case of need put the corresponding marking independently on the tape back:

Turn a bent shaft before combination of adjusting tags of cogwheels cranked and camshafts with reciprocal risks on back covers of the GRM drive (No. 2) and the block of cylinders; Put with White paint situation tags (opposite to tags on zubaty wheels of shaft) and the directions of rotation of a belt. 2. Weaken bolts of fastening of a natyazhitel of a belt.
3. Shoot an intermediate video.
4. On DOHC engines remove an intermediate cogwheel No. 2.
5. Take off a gas-distributing belt.

5. Remove an arm of a natyazhitel of a belt.


DOHC engines

Keeping of a cogwheel from a provorachivaniye at an otpuskaniye of a fixing bolt is made by means of special adaptation


On DOHC engines the casual provorachivaniye of camshafts at the taken-off gas-distributing belt is fraught with damage of valves at blow their friend about the friend!

1. Having blocked a cogwheel left inlet from a provorachivaniye by means of a special key, release a fixing bolt. Remove a cogwheel.
2. Working in a similar manner, remove cogwheels left final, right inlet and right final camshafts.
3. Remove a cogwheel of a bent shaft.
4. Remove an arm of a natyazhitel of a belt.
5. Remove the left and right back (No. 2) covers of the GRM drive.


Check

Gas-distributing belt

Do not allow hit on a surface of a gas-distributing belt of oils, lubricant or cooling liquid, - in case of need carefully remove the slightest traces of pollution. In order to avoid breaks, try not to bend excessively a tape of a belt, - the radius of a bend should not exceed 30 mm.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check a gear surface of a belt for existence of gaps, cracks and signs of wear of a tape. Turn a belt and attentively study a condition of its back.
2. In case of detection of defects the belt is subject to replacement.


Natyazhitel of a belt

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check assembly of a natyazhitel for existence of signs of development of leaks through sealing rings. Estimate a condition and degree of wear of a rod of a natyazhitel. Replace defective components.

Existence on a surface of a rod of a natyazhitel of insignificant traces of lubricant is admissible.

2. Holding assembly of a natyazhitel both hands, rest a rod against a floor or a wall of a garage and pressure him with effort 15 ÷ 50 kgfs, - if the rod begins to be buried in the assembly case, replace a natyazhitel.
3. Measure rod vystupaniye size over the face surface of assembly. If the result of measurement exceeds the limit of the admissible range (15.4 ÷ 16.4 mm), replace a natyazhitel.
N = 15.4 ÷ 16.4 mm

Installation of cogwheels

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish the right and left back (No. 2) covers of the GRM drive.
2. Establish an arm of a natyazhitel of a belt.
3. Establish gear wheels of a bent shaft.


SOHC engines

The cogwheel of the left camshaft differs from right in the ledge intended for operation of the CMP sensor.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a cogwheel of the right camshaft, - hold a shaft from a provorachivaniye by means of special adaptation.
2. Install the cogged pulley of the left camshaft.

DOHC engines

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a cogwheel of the right final camshaft, - hold a shaft from a provorachivaniye by means of special adaptation.
2. Establish a cogwheel of the right inlet camshaft.
3. Establish a cogwheel of the left final camshaft.
4. Establish a cogwheel of the left inlet camshaft.

Installation of a natyazhitel of a belt and intermediate rollers

Fixing of a rod of a natyazhitel in the drowned situation

1  —  to Drown before combination of openings
2  —  the Lock core

 


Press wring out a rod of a natyazhitel in the case before combination of lock openings. Record a rod in the drowned situation, having passed a metal core with a diameter about 1.5 mm throughout openings.

Watch that the effort was put strictly parallel to an axis of a rod and did not exceed value of 1 t! Before dumping pressure in the press, make sure of reliability of fixing of a rod a core.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a natyazhitel on the regular place, shift it to the right against the stop and temporarily fix.
2. Establish a tension roller.
3. Establish an intermediate pulley.
4. On DOHC engines establish an intermediate cogwheel No. 2.


Installation of a gas-distributing belt

SOHC engines

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The help of the special tool, develop cogwheels cranked and both camshafts adjusting tags up.
2. Having achieved combination of the tags applied on the belt back with adjusting tags accurately put on a belt cogwheels, - track observance of the initial direction of rotation of a belt.
3. Establish an intermediate cogwheel No. 2.
4. Establish an intermediate roller.
5. Release bolts of fastening of a natyazhitel, displace assembly of the last against the stop to the left, then again tighten bolts.
6. Once again make sure of correctness of combination of tags of a belt then take the core holding a rod of a natyazhitel in the drowned situation.
7. Having finished installation of a belt, uncover a head of cylinders and make sure of lack of air in hydroproofreaders of valvate gaps.

Inlet and final camshafts on DOHC engines at the taken-off gas-distributing belt can are turned independently from each other.

If at the same time there is a simultaneous movement of inlet and final valves, then they can be damaged as a result of contact with each other.

In view of told, at the taken-off belt it is necessary to fix all shaft in the provision of zero rise at which all valves are closed.

When at installation of a gas-distributing belt shaft are turned, inlet valves of the 2nd cylinder and final the 4th fall under the influence of the corresponding cams of camshafts of the left head of cylinders.

Camshafts of the right head of cylinders at the same time do not make impact on valves. At installation of a belt camshafts of the left head of cylinders have to be brought out of the provision of zero rise in a starting position by turning of their cogwheels on the minimum possible corner for the purpose of prevention of dangerous contact of valves.

Make preliminary installation of cogwheels: Achieve combination of an adjusting tag of a cogwheel of a bent shaft with reciprocal risky on a cover of the oil pump on the block of cylinders; Achieve combination of a tag in the form of an unary strip on a cogwheel of the right final camshaft with reciprocal risky on a GRM drive cover; Achieve combination of a tag in the form of an unary strip on a cogwheel of the right inlet camshaft with reciprocal risky on GRM cover. Make sure of combination of tags in the form of a double strip of cogwheels of inlet and final camshafts; Working in a similar manner, achieve combination of adjusting tags of cogwheels of the left camshafts; Check that cogwheels of all shaft were located as shown in an illustration. Cogwheels cranked and camshafts have to be established as it is shown on the scheme

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Having achieved combination of the tags applied on the belt back with adjusting tags put on a belt cogwheels of shaft. Track preservation of the right direction of rotation of a belt.
2. Establish an intermediate roller. Once again make sure in correctness of combination of all tags.
3. Release bolts of fastening of a natyazhitel, shift the last to the left against the stop, then again tighten fixture.
4. Once again make sure of correctness of combination of tags, then take a lock core from the case of a natyazhitel.
5. Having finished installation of a belt, uncover a head of cylinders and make sure of lack of signs of hit of air in hydroproofreaders of valvate gaps.


Installation of a pulley of a bent shaft and covers of the GRM drive

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish the central, left and right covers of the GRM drive.
2. Establish a pulley of a bent shaft.
3. Screw fixing and tighten it with the required effort.
4. Establish a generator drive belt.
