1. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the directing tube of the probe of measurement of motive oil (only for the left head of cylinders). 2. Working in strictly certain order, give bolts of fastening of a head (begin with left).

Bolts (1) and (4) leave wrapped up on three-four rounds for the purpose of deduction of a head. |
3. Remove a head and its sealing laying. 4. Working in a similar manner, remove the right head of cylinders. |

After compression of a valvate spring crackers of the cutting lock can be taken by means of tweezers or the magnetized screw-driver

| 1. Check casting of a head for existence of cracks and other damages. |
| 2. By means of the plostkostnost measuring instrument (the steel ruler put on an edge) and the probe of lezviyny type determine the size of not planeness of the interfaced surface of a head of cylinders. If the result of measurement exceeds extreme admissible value (see Specifications) the head should be given to a pro-point. |
|
|
|
|
Remember that unevenness of tightening of bolts of fastening of a head can be the reason of development of not planeness of the interfaced surface! |
Saddles of valves

|
Estimate a condition of facets of valvate saddles. In case of need make restoration of working surfaces by a pro-point, or processings of facets a grinding stone.
|
|
When replacing of the directing plugs of valves processing of facets is made without fail. Geometrical parameters of saddles of valves are shown on an accompanying illustration, compare the actual characteristics to requirements of Specifications, in case of need make the corresponding recovery repair. |

|
|
The directing plugs of valves
Vypressovyvaniye of the directing plugs of valves is made by means of special adaptation
Landing of the directing plug is made with use of the special calibrated vystupaniye size limiter
|
|
|
|
1. Determine the size of a gap of landing of the valve in the directing plug. The gap can be calculated by subtraction of outer diameter of a core of the valve from the internal diameter of the plug, - perform measurements by means of a micrometer. 2. Compare results of calculations to the required effort, - at their exit out of limits of admissible range of the plug are subject to replacement. |
| 3. For replacement of the directing plugs develop a head combustion chambers up. Plugs are pressed off from a head by means of special adaptation. |
|
| 4. Turn a head the interfaced surface down and install the calibrated limiter of size of a vystupaniye of plugs. Make sure of lack of cracks in walls of nests under landing of plugs. |
|
5. Previously having oiled pure motive, enclose the new directing plug in a mandrel of the special tool. Fill a tool core in the plug and press the last aflush with the face surface of the calibrated limiter. Make sure that the size of a vystupaniye of the new plug does not exceed the limit of admissible range (see Specifications). 6. By means of development (499767400 - - for DOHC engines) develop an opening of the directing plug for SOHC and 499767500 engines, - carefully rotating the development oiled motive clockwise and slightly pressing, enter it in the plug. At extraction of development it is necessary to continue to rotate it in the former direction (clockwise). Having finished development, remove from shaving plugs. If during development of the plug its internal surface remains brilliant and there is no shaving, replace development or make its editing.

If on the internal surface of the directing plug there are teases, they can be removed by means of grinding whetstone. |
7. In conclusion still check a form of working facets of saddles of valves. |
|
Inlet and final valves

| 1. Attentively examine plates cores of valves. In case of detection of defects, deformations or wear replace the valve. 2. The valve is also subject to replacement if width of a cylindrical part of its plate, - the corbel, - is lower than the extreme admissible value stipulated in Specifications. 3. If valves are in satisfactory condition, it is necessary to make their grinding in to the saddles. Grinding in is carried out with use of special abrasive paste. Also it is made before emergence on a surface of a facet of an equal continuous ring of opaque coloring. 4. Having finished grinding in, carefully remove all traces of an abrasive and establish new maslootrazhatelny caps. |

Valvate springs
|
|
| 1. Check valvate springs for existence of mechanical damages. 2. Measure length of springs in a free state and under loading. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications. Replace the defective and sunk springs. 3. For check of a tortsovka of a spring it should be established vertically on a flat surface and to measure deviation size from a vertical by means of a square. Springs with violation of a tortsovka are also subject to replacement. |

Maslootrazhatelny caps
|
|
|
1. Replacement of maslootrazhatelny caps is made at wear of their working edges, at the shift or loss of expansion springs, and also after restoration of working surfaces of valves and replacement of the directing plugs. 2. Landing of new caps on the acting parts of the directing plugs is made by means of a special mandrel after preliminary greasing by their pure motive oil. |
|
|
|
Caps of inlet and final valves differ on a standard size and can be identified on color marking. So, the rubber basis of caps of inlet valves has black color, final - brown. A spring part of all caps has white color. |
Assembly
|
|
1. Establish a cap in casting of the left head of cylinders. 2. Oil cores of valves pure motive, then accurately fill valves in the guides of the plug, - try not to damage working edges of maslootrazhatelny caps. 3. Establish valvate springs and their plates.

4. By means of the special tool serially squeeze springs of all valves and put in reception flutes on cores crackers of cutting locks, - temporary (to a spring otpuskaniye) fixing of crackers can be provided by means of dab of jellied lubricant.

Release the tool squeezing a spring it is necessary to release slowly and carefully! |
5. Having finished installation of crackers, slightly tap a spring the hammer with soft brisk for shrinkage of components. 6. On SOHC engines install into place the camshaft with a support and an axis of yokes of the drive of valves. 7. Establish a cover of a head of cylinders. |

Installation

Order of tightening of bolts of fastening of a head of cylinders on DOHC engines (see the text)

|
1. Having replaced sealing laying, establish a head of cylinders on the regular place on the block. 2. Grease carving parts of fixing bolts, the lower surfaces of their heads and a washer with motive oil. 3. Screw bolts and tighten them in strictly certain order (see below), with effort of 29 Nanometers. Working in a former order tighten fixture with effort of the second stage (69 Nanometers). At the last stage of tightening it is necessary to release all bolts on 180 °, then to turn on the same corner back. |
| 4. On SOHC engines tightening is made in the following order: at first tighten bolts (1) and (2) with effort of 34 Nanometers, then bolts (3), (4), (5) and (6) with effort of 15 Nanometers. Further hold on all bolts as their numbering by 80 ÷ 90 (no more) degrees. |
|
5. On DOHC engines at first tighten bolts (1) and (2) with effort of 36.8 Nanometers, then bolts (3), (4), (5) and (6) with effort of 20 Nanometers. Then hold on all bolts as numbering by 80 ÷ 90 (no more) degrees. 6. At the final stage on all engines it is necessary to hold on bolts for 80 ÷ 90 degrees.

The total corner of a dotyagivaniye of bolts at the last two stages should not exceed 180 °! |
7. Tighten a bolt of fastening of the directing tube of the probe of measurement of level of motive oil. 8. On SOHC engines install into place GRM drive components (see the Section Dismantling of the GRM Drive, - removal, check of a state and installation of components). |

1. Establish a branch pipe of a cooling path, - do not forget to replace sealing laying. 2. Install the inlet pipeline, - also replace laying. 3. Install the sensor of provision of a bent shaft and the sensor of a detonation, - before installation of sensors it is necessary to blow in them compressed air for the purpose of removal of sawdust and other foreign particles. 4. Connect an electrical wiring, - track reliability of fastening of sockets in the arms. 5. Restore initial connection to the block of cylinders of hoses and branch pipes. 6. Install the generator and the K/V compressor with the basic arms. 7. Install the steering pump. 8. Establish a V-ribbed driving belt. |

1. Install camshafts, covers of a head of cylinders and the accompanying components. 2. Install GRM drive components (see the Section Dismantling of the GRM Drive, - removal, check of a state and installation of components). 3. Establish a branch pipe of a cooling path, - do not forget to replace laying. 4. Having replaced sealing laying, install the inlet pipeline on the place. 5. Install a broad tank of the cooling system. 6. Install sensors of provision of cranked and distributive shaft and the sensor of a detonation, - before installation of sensors it is necessary to blow in them compressed air for the purpose of removal of sawdust and other foreign particles. 7. Connect an electrical wiring, - track reliability of fastening of sockets in the arms. 8. Restore initial connection to the block of cylinders of hoses and branch pipes. 9. Install the generator and the K/V compressor with the basic arms. 10. Install the steering pump. 11. Establish a V-ribbed driving belt. |
