Service, removal and installation of a radiator of the cooling system
Service without removal
On models with a turbo-supercharging check is made on a mouth of a filling tank. |
1. Kill the engine, carefully wipe all subjects to check joints and connections. 2. Uncover a jellied mouth of a radiator, in case of need add in a radiator cooling liquid for rise in level of the mouth, last to the lower cut. 3. Connect the special device for check of a radiator to a jellied mouth and create in the last pressure in 157 kPa. Check assembly of a radiator and its nipple connections for existence of signs of leak of liquid. Examine also regarding development of leaks radiator hoses. |

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action! |
2. Empty the cooling system (see the Head Routine maintenance). If replacement of cooling liquid was made recently, keep it for further use (see the prevention in the Section Antifreeze - general information). 3. Disconnect the top and lower radiator hoses from the engine. 4. Uncover a belt. 5. On models without turbo-supercharging disconnect a broad tank and an overflow hose. 6. On models with a turbo-supercharging disconnect the hose going to a filling tank from a radiator. 7. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the main and auxiliary fans. |
| 8. Disconnect arms of fastening of a radiator. |
9. Having raised a radiator, slightly shift it to the left. 10. Disconnect the bringing and taking away lines of cooling of ATF. Merge working liquid in the prepared capacity. 11. Lift a radiator up and take it from a motive compartment of the car. |
Installation
1. Put on rubber pillows of support fingers in the lower part of radiator assembly. 2. Fill pillows in nests on the forward panel and establish a radiator. 3. Establish arms of fastening of a radiator. Screw and strongly tighten fixing bolts. 4. Connect an electrical wiring to the main and auxiliary radiators. 5. Connect top and lower radiator hoses. 6. Install a broad tank and an overflow hose. 7. Establish a belt. 8. Connect a negative wire to the battery. 9. Fill in cooling liquid in system.
On models with a turbo-supercharging cooling liquid is filled in in a filling tank. |
10. Achieve a raising of level of cooling liquid to the top mark in a wall of a broad tank. 11. Establish a cover of a jellied mouth of a radiator and a stopper for production of air. 12. Warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature, having allowed it to work within 5 minutes at turns from 2000 to 3000 in a minute. 13. Kill the engine and wait until temperature of cooling liquid decreases to safe value. 14. Remove a stopper and a cover of a jellied mouth of a radiator. 15. If liquid level in a radiator decreased, add it to the lower cut of a mouth. 16. Check liquid level in a broad tank, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment. 17. Establish a stopper and a cover of a jellied mouth. |
