The fuel pressure regulator - general information The regulator of pressure of fuel consists of two cameras: fuel and diaphragm. Fuel comes to a fuel chamber via the entrance union. The diaphragm camera is connected to the inlet pipeline. If pressure in the lower camera exceeds the total pressure created on a diaphragm by a spring and depression in the pipeline, then the diaphragm moves so that excess fuel could be returned back in a gasoline tank on the returnable line. The regulator supports constant pressure difference in system at the level about 2.5 bars.
Typical designs of regulators
The fuel pressure regulator design used on models without turbo-supercharging
The fuel pressure regulator design used on the MPFI models with a turbo-supercharging
