Check of serviceability of functioning of system of electronic injection

Remember that gasoline is extremely flammable liquid!
During the work with components of a power supply system observe all taken measures of fire safety.
Do not smoke! Do not approach the venue of works with naked flame or the carrying unprotected by the lamp shade!
You do not make service of system in the rooms equipped with the heating devices using natural gas and equipped with a control torch (such as vodogre and dryers for clothes).
Do not forget that gasoline is among cancerogenic substances, i.e., - the substances promoting development of cancer!
Try not to allow hits of fuel on open parts of the body, use rubber protective gloves, at casual unforeseen contact with fuel carefully wash out hands warm water with soap.
Immediately collect the spilled fuel and do not put the rags impregnated with fuel and lubricants near sources of naked flame.
Remember that the power supply system of the models equipped with injection of fuel constantly is under pressure. Before starting a detachment of fuel lines, dump residual pressure in system.
At service of components of a power supply system put on goggles. Constantly hold near at hand the class B fire extinguisher! |

1. Check reliability of fastening of electric connections of a chain of system of injection, paying special attention to a condition of plugs of grounding. Attentively examine all electric sockets concerning functioning of system. Violation of quality of electric contacts involves a set of problems and more than a half of engine failures is the reason. 2. Check battery charge level. Accuracy of management of composition of air-fuel mix to a great extent depends on serviceability of functioning of ESM and information sensors defined including, and the level of tension of their food. 3. Check a condition of the filtering air cleaner element (see the Head Routine maintenance) - even partial violation of passability of the air filter has significant effect on profitability of fuel consumption and efficiency of return of the engine. 4. If the safety lock of system of injection is beaten out, replace it, - if the new safety lock fails also at once, address schemes of electric connections (see the Head Onboard electric equipment) and check the corresponding electric chain for existence of signs of short circuit on weight. 5. Check the connecting air cleaner and the inlet pipeline an air sleeve for existence of signs of development of the leaks leading to impoverishment of air-fuel mix. Also check a condition of the vacuum hoses connected to the inlet pipeline. |
| 6. Disconnect the air sleeve going from the case of a throttle and check the last for existence of traces of a nagaroobrazovaniye and other deposits (in particular on sites near a butterfly valve). In case of identification of signs of pollution of a throttle, address materials of Chapter 6 and make diagnostics of malfunctions of the PCV and EGR systems. Process a throttle one of types of the special cleaning aerosols suitable for the use on the cars equipped with catalytic converters and oxygen sensors, wipe the processed surfaces with pure rags. |

| 7. At the working engine serially listen to each of injection injectors by means of a stethoscope, - the uniform poshchelkivaniye testifies to serviceability of functioning of an injector. In the absence of near at hand stethoscope, use the long screw-driver, just pressing a tip of her sting to the case of an injector and being guided by the vibrations transferred on the handle. |

| 8. At identification of signs of violation of functioning of an injector it is necessary to use a special lamp sampler (ask in shops of automobile accessories). The lamp is connected to the electric socket of the suspected injector. Start the engine and test a lamp all injectors. The uniform blinking of a lamp confirms serviceability of functioning of a component. Otherwise the car should be driven away on car repair shop for more detailed diagnostics. |

| 9. Kill the engine, disunite electric sockets of injectors and measure the electric resistance of each of them. Compare results of measurements to standard requirements, - the required value makes 12 ÷ 16 Ohm. Faulty injectors are subject to replacement. |

10. Check system of self-diagnostics for existence of the malfunction codes which are stored in her memory (see the Head of the Control system of the engine). 11. Performance of more detailed diagnostics of a condition of system should be charged to specialists of car service, having all (rather expensive) equipment necessary for this purpose. |
