Traction relay

Check of serviceability of functioning of assembly of the traction relay

Connect the positive plug of the battery to a conclusion S traction relays, and negative - to the starter case. The gear wheel has to be displaced on a shaft axis, and the starter can sometimes be scrolled.

Disconnect a wire from a conclusion of M and connect the positive plug of the battery to a conclusion, the negative plug of the battery is connected to the starter case again, - the gear wheel has to return to a starting position, even she was nominated by means of the screw-driver.

Again put forward a gear wheel in extreme situation and measure a gap between it and the case of assembly. Compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. As well as on Nippondenso starters check is made in three modes: without loading, under loading and with applying of the brake moment.
2. The description of checks see in the Section Nippondenso Starters - check and service.
3. Compare results of checks to requirements of Specifications. In case of need make the corresponding corrections / replacements.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Release a fixing nut and disconnect an electrical wiring from the plug M of the traction relay.
2. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the traction relay assembled with a plunger and its spring.
3. Turn out two coupling bolts and screws of fastening of the brush holder. Separate a back arm and the brush holder from starter assembly.
4. Mark with a marker or a chertilka position of the case of the stator of rather forward arm. Take an anchor, then remove the stator, - try not to lose the ball used as the bearing.
5. Remove a sealing ring, three planetary gear wheels, laying and a plate.
6. Remove the obgonny coupling assembled with shaft, - try to remember adjusting position of the lever.
7. Wring out the clip placed in a stopper and take away a stopper from a ring. Remove a ring and a stopper and remove the obgonny coupling from a shaft.

Obgonny coupling

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check gear wheel teeths for existence of chips and signs of excessive wear.
2. In case of need make replacement.
3. Manually check smoothness of rotation of a gear wheel, - the gear wheel has to rotate only in one direction.

Do not wash out at all assembly of the obgonny coupling in any solvents!

Brushes and brush holder

PERFORMANCE ORDER


1. Measure length of brushes, compare results of measurement to requirements of Specifications in case of need make replacement. 2. Check smoothness of the movement of brushes in holders.
3. Make sure of lack of conductivity between the brush holder and its plate.
4. Measure the effort developed by brush springs. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications in case of need make replacement.

Traction relay

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Make sure available conductivity between plugs S and M, and also between the plug S and the case of assembly.
2. Between plugs M and B of conductivity should not be.

Assembly

Assembly is made as it should be the return to an order of dismantle of components. Pay attention to the next moments:

Forward and back bearings; Anchor shaft Gear wheel; Plunger Surface; Surface of the lever; Gear wheel shaft Grooves; Surface of the lever and obgonny coupling; The Ball at an anchor shaft end face; Internal components of planetary transfer.
