Assembly of coils of ignition - the general information, check of a state and replacement

General information

Coils of ignition serve for transformation of tension of the battery to tension of ignition and its delivery in the form of impulse VV in a secondary contour of system. When the module of ignition provides shutdown of giving of current in primary winding of the coil, turning of magnetic field induces tension in its secondary winding. The developed current from the plug (2) of a secondary contour of the coil on VV to a wire moves on spark plugs of the corresponding pair of cylinders where the created potential difference provides "breakdown" of interelectrode gaps on weight. As it was already mentioned above sparking happens at the same time in the shock-absorber of cylinders, - in the ends of steps of compression (a working spark) and release (a single spark).

Check

Check of coils of ignition

1, 2 and 3  —  Plugs of primary contour
And, In, C and D  —  Plugs of a secondary contour

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At the switched-off ignition disconnect an electrical wiring from bobbin assembly. Connect an ohmmeter between plugs of primary contour (1) - (2) and (2) - (3). Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications.
2. Repeat check, connecting an ohmmeter to plugs of a secondary contour (A) - (In) and (C) - (D).
3. Estimate also an isolation condition, having measured resistance between primary plug and the case of assembly (the required value makes not less than 10 megohms).
4. The faulty coil is subject to replacement.

Replacement

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

2. Previously having marked, disconnect an electrical wiring from bobbin assembly.
3. Turn out fixing bolts and remove bobbin assembly.
4. Installation is made upside-down, - tighten fixing bolts with the required effort (22 Nanometers). Track correctness of connection of an electrical wiring, - the mistake at connection can lead to an exit of bobbin assembly out of operation!
