Removal and installation of the main brake cylinder

The failed GTTs is subject to replacement. Manufacturers do not recommend to make attempts of carrying out recovery repair of the main brake cylinder.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The typical design of GTTs for the equipment of ABS models is presented on an accompanying illustration. Pump out brake fluid from the GTTs tank.
2. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor switch of a control lamp of level of brake fluid.
3. Enclose rags under nipple connections and prepare caps or plastic bags for a blockage of the open ends of brake lines for the purpose of prevention of hit in the brake system of dirt.

Brake fluid is among aggressive chemical compounds and at contact with body panels destroys a paint and varnish covering. Before starting implementation of the procedure cover wings and the panel of a front of the car with special covers, or just old blankets.

4. By means of a special cap key with a cutting head weaken nuts of nipple knots of connection to GTTs of brake lines. Having slightly delayed outside, separate brake lines from unions of the main cylinder. At once to a zakuporta open ends of tubes.
5. Give nuts of fastening of GTTs. Remove assembly of the main cylinder from the vacuum amplifier of brakes and take it from a motive compartment.
6. Uncover the GTTs tank and merge the brake fluid remaining inside in the prepared capacity.
7. After replacement of GTTs all hydraulic path is subject to pumping, at the same time the zatrachivaniye time can be reduced by pumping due to preliminary filling of the main cylinder and its pumping on a workbench before installation (see below).
8. For convenience clamp a landing flange of the cylinder in a vice with soft sponges and fill in fresh brake fluid in assembly.
9. Having densely pressed fingers to openings under fastening of brake lines in order to avoid a podsasyvaniye in the air cylinder.
10. Slowly push pistons in the cylinder (it will be most convenient to use the big screw-driver with a crosswise sting), - air has to begin to go out of delivery cameras in the tank. At the same time it is important that the ends of both tubes were completely shipped in the brake fluid which is in the tank to exclude probability of a podsasyvaniye of air back in the cylinder at an otpuskaniye of pistons.
11. Continue pumping until the liquid which is pushed out through tubes completely is not exempted from air bubbles.
12. Installation is made upside-down.
13. Having finished, pump over a hydraulic path. Before starting operation of the car, make sure of serviceability of functioning of brakes.
