Replacement of brake shoes of disk brake mechanisms

Replacement of brake shoes has to be made at the same time on both forward/back brake mechanisms.

Remember that the dust produced in the course of operation of brake mechanisms may contain extremely unhealthy asbestos of the person.

Do not blow off dust compressed air at all and do not inhale it, - at service of mechanisms put on a protective mask or a respirator.

Do not use for rubbing of components of the brake system gasoline or solvents on an oil basis at all, - apply only company cleaners or methyl alcohol!


Brake mechanisms of forward wheels

Removal

Do not disconnect a hydraulic hose from a support and do not squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake after removal of a support!


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Weaken nuts of fastening of forward wheels. A car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on props, prop up antiretractable boots back wheels. Remove forward wheels.
2. Pump out about 2/3 brake fluids from the GTTs tank, - at push-up of pistons level liquid can begin to be forced out from the tank. Get drain capacity under assembly of the brake mechanism and process a surface of the last a special cleaner.
3. Turn out the lower directing support bolt.
4. Having developed a support, remove it from a brake disk and tie up a wire in the lifted situation.
5. Take from an anchor bracket of the brake mechanism of a block, clamps and adjusting washers.
6. Estimate degree of wear of frictional overlays of brake shoes. If blocks are worn-out below an admissible limit (see Specifications) prepare a replaceable set.

Replacement of brake shoes is made at the same time on both brake mechanisms of one axis of the car!

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Wring out the piston in assembly of wheel cylinders, - track that brake fluid did not begin to flow too much the GTTs tank, in case of need pump out excess of liquid from the tank.
2. Grease with antivizgovy structure the interfaced surfaces of blocks, their clamps and internal adjusting laying.
3. Establish antivizgovy adjusting laying of both blocks. Fill spring clamps in an anchor bracket of the brake mechanism, then establish blocks.
4. Lower a support and achieve hit of ledges of blocks in reception grooves of pistons.
5. Establish the lower directing finger.
6. Several times squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake for shrinkage of components of the mechanism.
7. Pump over the corresponding hydraulic contour (see the Section Pumping of the Brake System).


Brake mechanisms of back wheels

Removal

Do not disconnect a hydraulic hose from a support and do not squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake after removal of a support!

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Installation is made upside-down. Before wringing out pistons in cylinders release the gate of pumping of a support.
2. Several times squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake for shrinkage of components of the mechanism.
3. In conclusion pump over the corresponding hydraulic contour (see the Section Pumping of the Brake System).
